The Japanese have been around for thousands of years, so little Hayden Panettiere forming a surfers memorial at the beach where those fish were caught is really going to make a difference. If she isn’t careful they may reenact the Rape of Nanking on her barely legal ass. Stick to movies Lizzie Spaulding.

You go tell the Japanese fisherman that kills some hundred dolphins in order to help feed thousands of people how to live his life. Yeah that’s real intelligent. I thought this was a blog centered around global warming and not another outlet for PETA propagandists. If you excuse me I am going to Gap to try on a new pair of jeans.

We were holding a peaceful protest to bring attention to the fact that dolphins are being slaughtered in the most inhumane way, despite a very small section of the japanese community being in favour of it. This meat is highly poisoned with mercury which causes brain damage and death, and is fed to school children and the public with no warnings of its danger. Despite Japanese people claiming it is their right to do this as it has been their culture for hundreds of years, they never before killed mothers and baby dolphins as they do now, and the numbers increase every year despite the population of cetaceans declining.
PS. Dolphins are mammals like humans.. not fish. And they display much more memory retention skills than humans and some members of the cetacean family are the only creatures on the planet that have a whole extra brain lobe. We do not know enough about these intelligent creatures to be killing them without further understanding.

PS. That bruise on my leg in the photo above is where the Japanese fishermen attacked me an hour previously with a 8ft pole, while we were doing a peaceful paddle out ceremony to commemorate the death of the worlds best ’surfers’ (dolphins) killed in Taiji bay.

Interesting. At best this is only an ad hoc deterrent that won’t instill any lasting change (unless one of them accidentally cops a harpoon to the cranium). Higher level international sanctions and persuasion is needed to really stamp out this behaviour. Points for trying though girls.

There are other ways to get food for the people that do not involve killing intelligent mammals or poisoning the consumers with mercury.
And if you actually read the entry, you’d see that they are also using it for pet food and fertilizer, not just human food.
Finally, being against the brutal slaughter of dolphins does not make someone a PETA propogandist.
Make sense or shut up.
