Beanstockd at the Theatre: Sex and the City

Clickety clack, thump—RED. Bacon Bits was just stampeded by Louboutins.

Would be Carries, Charlottes, Mirandas and Samanthas were in full regalia as they gallivanted about the theaters of New York this past weekend. Not since “The Kings of Comedy” have we had an “interactive” movie-going experience this outrageous. One could say it was akin to a Star Wars opening, except these screaming, crying, laughing, photo-snapping fanatics were a lot easier on the eyes and didn’t smell like an amalgam of Funyuns and b.o.

Spoiler alert! The ladies all become anti-consumerist vegan eco-nazis who wear hemp clothes and pleather shoes. Okay, maybe not, but we did look for some green. Bag, Borrow or Steal, the venerable It-Bag recycling/sharing web site was lauded throughout. But, we’d be remiss if we didn’t note the bottled water so prominently placed in every shot. Don’t they know The City’s tap water does really well in blind taste tests!?
