No, we don’t mean Mary-Kate. There’s another MK on our minds, and this one doesn’t just pose for fashion—he creates it. Designer Michael Kors has filmed scenes for the upcoming season of our absolute favorite guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl. The episode takes place during New York Fashion Week (duh), and was, according to Kors, a dream come true. Ok, so it’d be a dream come true for us as well, but only because we’d die to witness an S & B power struggle right before our eyes. Kors claims the guest spot made him feel like he was “finally a teenager.” Well, to be fair, MK, you were a teenager a long time ago…back when Andy Griffith was still the hottest ish on TV…but we’ll let you re-live the dream for fifteen minutes.
MK has always held a special place in our hearts. We love him on Project Runway, and we also love that he participated in the FutureFashion event, an eco-friendly runway show during Fashion Week last February. What we’d love even more? For MK himself to come out with a line of eco-friendly couture, and for the GG kids to sport it. For now, though, we’re satisfied with the fact that MK raves publicly about eco-friendly actress Natalie Portman. Don’t you just love aging green celebs?

Isabella Rossellini recently directed and starred in the hilarious and educational “Green Porno”, a series of shorts about the mating habits of bugs. Rossellini dons elaborate insect costumes ranging from the pesky fly to the psycho praying mantis, and even does a gender switcheroo on viewers! See, Mrs. Lohan? Your daughter can do porn and still be a classy lady.
“Green Porno” was produced for the Sundance Channel, whose “The Green” is tv’s first regularly-scheduled green programming. Their shows include “Eco Biz”, a series that follows business owners and executives on the quest to turn their organizations green, from financial behemoth Citi to a small interior design/cleaning business. Check out “The Green” for a guide to greener living, as well as eco documentaries and other downloads.
Of course, for your more primal viewing urges, you can check out Fuck for Forest, a porn site that donates 80% of its revenue to environmental causes! FFF (um, def NSFW) was formed in Norway and netted over $100,000 its first year through paid memberships to the site. However, some organizations like the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) refused to accept donations because of the methods through which the money was raised, so FFF is working directly with communities in Costa Rica and Brazil to help rescue rainforests. Strange as it may be, green porn is nature helping nature!

Lohans Get X-Rated On Accident

Dina Lohan is pissed that her daughter Ali kinda, sorta, accidentally went on a meeting with porn director Peter Davy, whose credits include "Breast Wishes 14" and "Bun Busters 12." Whoopsie! Mama Lohan got pisssssed. However, didn’t her eldest daughter, Lindsay, portray a stripper? Wouldn’t this be a natural progression?
And besides, Dina shouldn’t get upset because let’s not forget that one of Hollywood’s A-listers, Isabella Rossellini—a lady of true Hollywood family pedigree—recently directed and starred in “Green Porno”.
“Green Porno” was produced for Sundance Channel, whose “The Green” is TV’s first regularly-scheduled green programming. One of their series includes “It’s Not Easy Being Green”, a reality show that follows British Engineer Dick Strawbridge on his quest to live as eco-friendly as possible. Check out “The Green” for a guide to greener living, as well as eco documentaries and other downloads.

Our Affair with John Edwards

Oh, John Edwards. We’re not mad at him for having an affair. We’re mad at him for not having an affair with us.
We’re cute. We’re young. We’re spry. And we know how hard he worked to make his campaign green before it was popular. We know how awesome his environmental policies would have been (if he didn’t lie to us and cheat with the oil companies behind our back, that sly dog). And we lie in our beds and think, what if? What if Jo Ed had rocked our world and changed it at the same time?
We guess they’ll always just be fantasies now that he will never, ever, ever get a Vice Presidential nod. And the closest thing to a cabinet position he’ll have after this mess is becoming assistant manager at a Home Depot.

The Review: The Dark Knight’s Shadow Still Looms Large at the Box Office and in the Headlines

Almost a month later, The Dark Knight still reigns supreme at the box office. Yet, the continuing investigation into the circumstances of Heath Ledger’s death (ie, the MK Olsen link) make the movie’s huge success a bittersweet victory, ironically, the real life circumstances parallel the mood and tone of the film.
At the end of Batman Begins, there was a sense of hope for the future that Batman would be aggressively cleaning the streets as thoroughly as movie studios can green their on-set operations. Whereas, in The Dark Knight, hope is tainted by the rise and fall of Gotham’s white knight, Harvey Dent (the competent Aaron Eckhart). The circumstances surrounding Dent’s downfall are orchestrated by Heath Ledger’s psychotic Joker who steals the movie away from Christian Bale’s uber-stoic Batman. Ledger’s nuanced performance from the high voice he cultivates in opposition to Bale’s attempt to emulate James Earl Jones to the way he creates the Joker’s uneven movements continually draws our attention to the real talent who fell too soon. As Ledger’s final complete bow, the film’s grim mood is a complement to the dark shadow cast over the film by his death.
