Former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama for President on Meet the Press Sunday morning. Powell cites Obama’s campaign for change as well as a distaste for Senator McCain’s campaign practices as factors informing his decision.
Change is in the air, with the news that over 25 countries have policies in process aimed at getting their citizens to change their light bulbs from incandescent lightbulbs to more environmentally friendly bulbs. The US’s 2008 energy bill will ban filament light bulbs by 2014.
Speaking of presidential campaigns, now that Paris has officially announced her candidacy, she needs to build her international relations, and what better way to do that than by boozing it up with the future King of England, Prince William, his brother Prince Harry and Xtina? Who needs to see Russia when you can drink with a King?
Some things don’t change. Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar applauds the TV show for staying true to the spirit of the books, even though her Vanessa wasn’t boring and had a shaved head and read poetry. Blair and Chuck, though, were always devious. And after Chuck blackmailed members of Yale Secret Society, the Skull & Bones, on last week’s episode, Paris might want to "tap" Chuck as the head of the CIA
