Citizen Beanstockd (12.4.08): Kevin Federline & The Cowardly Lion

Jason Lee as Brodie Bruce in Mallrats“The Wizard of Oz” has been on the tv a bunch lately and nobody is more thrilled about that than me. My favorite character in Hollywood history is in the movie and he’s rivaled only by Chuck Bass and Geoffrey the Butler. The bravado, the vanity, the hubris…I’m talking about the Cowardly Lion

The Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony was last night. The tree is decorated with 30,000 energy-efficient LED lights, but best of all, the tree has a neat repurposed history. Donated by the Varanyak tree nursery in New Jersey, the 72-foot tall Norway spruce was replanted after it was the family’s Christmas tree in 1931.

Sean Avery, ye of professional hockey and Vogue internship fame, made an inappropriate comment during an interview and was slapped with an indefinite suspension by the league. On his past lovers he said: “it has become a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds.”

Remember earlier this year when people were all: K-Fed’s totally a better parent than that crazy Britney? I was one of those people, so I feel like giving some equal time to Kevin Federline. In Britney Spears’ documentary, she blames him for walking away from their marriage. Like any good pseudo Vanilla Ice, though, he remains upbeat and optimistic: “I’m definitely rooting for her. There’s nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.”

Finally, I’m kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I just took the air conditioner out of my bedroom window. It’s now December 4th. No, I don’t get insane hot flashes, I’m just lazy. I feel kind of guilty about wasting all that heat and electricity…whatever, I’ll just buy some carbon credits.
