Christian Siriano announced plans to make fierce shoes at Payless. The Project Runway winner wants his brand to be accessible to all those suffering from this economy (read: the ones suffering the most). Siriano clearly knows his fan base. Pretentions aside, I think this is a smart move.
I’ve never been a fan of Quiksilver, mostly because I’m not really the surfer type. But now that the beach brand is going green, I may start buying. They’ve teamed up with E.P.I.C.’s Ripple Project by donating a percentage of the sales of their newly eco-friendly line to the NPO. Get shopping, beanies!
The Vogue documentary that was announced a few years back and then never mentioned again has been resurrected and is rumored to be making it to Sundance. Next stop, NYC’s the Angelika? Here’s hoping!
Anna Wintour’s being replaced by Carine Roitfeld (Editor in Chief of French Vogue)—or at least, that’s what the peanut gallery is saying. Everyone from Gawker to Perez is claiming Anna is gonzo. Si Newhouse claims the rumor’s ridiculous, but methinks it could be true.

As for me, I window-shopped till I dropped the other night at Gen Art’s Shop NYC event on Monday night to find you the up and coming green designers. Spotlight on Laura Dawson, who works out of Brooklyn and thinks “fashion must go organic. Effective 5 minutes ago.” CAN I GET AN AMEN?
