I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this, but I adore NYMag’s fashion blog, “The Cut”—it’s my go-to resource for fashionista news that’s funny, not pretentious. Don’t believe me? Check out their hilarious post on my girl Gaga’s serious lack of pants problem.
Poor unfortunate Fashion Week attendees. They’re all up in arms over the fact that many a post-show party was cancelled due to the economy (or, as Alexander Wang put it, “to bring the focus back to the clothes” – bull). Seriously, whatever will show-goers do when they need a way to recoup after the intense stress of sitting and watching pretty people strut down a runway?
I think I might be in love with eco-friendly clothing line Ecoganik. Seriously, those jersey dresses are to die for. Add on the fact that they’re sustainable? You’ve got me smitten.
Did you see Michelle Obama’s Inaguration Day Outfit? She wore a yellow Isabel Toledo, and it was nice, but I think Jill Biden outshined her. The Toledo suit was classy, sure, but I didn’t love the color or the cut. What I really loved was her nighttime Jason Wu gown. She looked like a regal politico princess. It seems Michelle’s turning into quite the fashionista and yet, she’s getting flack for not wearing black designers. Rumor has it she has an upcoming Vogue cover… Hello new Jackie O?
Alexander McQueen for Target has leaked, and though there are less studs than I would have liked, I’m loving it. I’m hoping they don’t sell out before I can get to a Target.
PS: Yours truly is looking into snagging some tickets for NYFW in Februrary. I’ll be scouting green designers like Leanne Marshall and looking for others who’ve just dabbled in eco-friendly design. If you have any requests, leave them at the beep!
