Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie

Fashionista by Ashley David - Click for more from The ClotheshorseYou know things are bad when even fashion models are feeling the pinch. They claim they’re only doing this for the money, and if the money disappears, they might as well be studying. Apparently, model rates have been slashed in half since the economy plummeted, but as one Argentinean model put it, “So you see how well people live here [The US] and you say, what, this is a crisis?”

Anya HindmarchBananas! Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie were seen hugging at an event, as hell simultaneously froze over.

The Bag Tax is here! Mayor Bloomberg officially proposed a 5-cent bag tax on anything plastic; whether it be from the bodega around the corner or from Bloomies. I already carry green bags around with me, and I’m hoping this tax will mean that I’ll start seeing a whole lotta canvas everywhere. Label whores can totes their Anya Hindmarch’s or their Marc Jacobs; I’ll stick with my $1 tote from Whole Foods.

Hilary Duff - Femme for DKNY JeansDesigns have been revealed for the Barbie Runway Show at NYFW. I’m doing my best to snag tickets to this event, which is sure to be outstandingly amazingly incredible. Check out a preview of the looks! I’m dying for Alex Wang Barbie.

WWD just released word that Hilary Duff is doing a clothing line for DKNY. I love Hil for some good teenybopper music, but I don’t exactly look to her for style tips. A look at her line reveals its stuff I could buy at Forevs.

The Clotheshorse is officially going to New York Fashion Week! I’m so excited I’m jumping out of my sequined leggings. I’ve joined Twitter just so I can tweet my updates. If you’re on there too, look me up. My handle is sarahlesliee. If not, just visit twitter.com/sarahlesliee to check out my updates!
