While the rest of Hollywood was congratulating itself on being so pretty and talented at the Oscars, Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger were taking a quiet stroll through New York City Sunday. The couple wore matching fedoras, held hands and stopped for a smooch. They were probably discussing Josh’s big move back to his hometown of Vancouver. It was announced over the weekend that if his hit show, Fringe, is picked up for a second season, it will be moving from its current filming location, NYC, to Vancouver. It is being speculated that since New York is no longer offering tax incentives to productions filming in the state, it was no longer cost effective to film in NYC. Hopefully, Diane will be cool with a long distance relationship, if not, we have a feeling Josh will do just fine with the Canadian ladies.
We also hope when the show gets to Vancouver they will choose Vancouver Film Studios (VFS) as their main studio (right now they film the show at Silvercup Studios in Long Island City). VFS achieved Carbon Neutral status as of January 1, 2008. Among the initiatives the studio took to go green, were energy efficient light replacement programs, energy efficient HPL lighting for productions and an effort to reduce temperatures in vacant stages. VFS is a green leader in the industry and a great example for other production spaces.

Since Diane Kruger lives in Paris–which is where they are the photo that accompanies your article, by the way–and she has lived in Paris since their very first date like three years ago, I think they do just fine with the long distance thing already. LOL.
