Rupert Grint

With the death of Michael Jackson, resignation of Sarah Palin, and crumbling economy, swine flu just seems so yesterday. So how does a hot topic pandemic work its way back to the top story? By aligning itself with a celebrity of course! Either S.F. has an excellent publicist or Rupert Grint needs to invest in some environmentally friendly hand sanitizer, because the Harry Potter actor has become the first famous figure to be infected with the H1N1 flu. According to his rep, Rupert is feeling better and no longer contagious, but we have a feeling this story only marks the beginning of the media whore of all viruses crawling its way back into the headlines. Be on the lookout this week for swine flu to take an Argentinean mistress or stage a coup in a politically oppressed country. With swine flu set to take over water cooler conversation I’m giving it 48 hours until Heidi and Spencer Pratt announce their diagnoses.
