It looks like Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is already out of a job. Even though her new show, Melrose Place, has only been on the air a few weeks, the actress has already been served an eviction notice. This may come as a shock to fans, but the show’s runner claims this has been the plan all along. Executive Producer Todd Slavkin told EW: "We always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12…And once that murder mystery was solved, [Ashlee] would go on her way." Ashlee, along with co-star Colin Egglesfield, will be off the show as early as January 2010. The actress was spotted getting some retail therapy today in Studio City…it’s not surprising she avoided the upscale shops on Melrose. Ashlee should check out Care2.com’s JobFinder. It’s the world largest listing of jobs with socially conscious companies—she can even narrow her results to show only eco-friendly companies. After playing Sydney’s daughter on Melrose, we’re sure her karma would benefit from some do-gooding.
