FIN

Fashionista by Ashley David - Click for more from The ClotheshorseI’m thinking I might have to relocate to Norway – I’m newly obsessed with eco-fashion brand FIN, which uses “wild” hand spun silk, bamboo and organic cotton for their carbon neutral creations. FIN is chock full of neutral Spring (think Stella McCartney) tones and sexy slouchy silhouettes. WANT.

Christian Siriano’s life just keeps getting better. He says his untitled reality TV project with Bravo will mimic the realness of The September Issue and Valentino: The Last Emperor. I’ll set my DVR now (and by mine, I mean BB’s).

Karlie Kloss - Vogue

When Vogue goes green, they do things like send Hamish Bowles camping and hire model Karlie Kloss to pose among sustainable farm products in a green Chanel suit. Of course, they also have Sally Singer chat about how much takeout she eats. Yawn. Lady, the rest of us discovered low-flow showerheads some time ago, and we didn’t have to hire someone to tell us about them.

Why buy many dresses when you can buy one dress and wear it one hundred different ways? Enter Hayley Starr’s Fancy S dress. Starr’s website says you can wear it “over 110 different ways” – it’s reversible (shiny on one side, matte on the other) and fits all sizes (0-16). At $280, it’s quite the recession friendly buy, no? Not to mention oh-so-green!

Lady Gaga was two hours late to accept her Stylemaker award at the Accessories Council’s ACE Awards on Monday night because she didn’t have any gloves. She explained in her speech that her lack of gloves dictated that her entire body be painted white. Says Gaga: “Guess that’s what happens when you don’t have the right accessories.”

Remember Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, the woman who used to plan Vogue’s Met Gala every year? She’s snagged a new gig, and it’s way bigger than planning a singular fete – Wolkoff has been named Lincoln Center’s director of Fashion Week. She’ll be coordinating “internally and externally” between the industry and Lincoln Center, which means she’ll be plotting to steal designers back from MAC & Milk. At least she’s got till September 2010…

Baby, it’s cold outside, and that’s why I’m dreaming of cozying up in Madeleine’s Thompson’s cashmere goodies. Thompson’s found fans in celebs like Sienna Miller, and of course, yours truly. If cashmere isn’t your thing; she also designers knitwear and jewelry.

Toms Shoes are a staple in my wardrobe. I have a pair in black, a pair in tie-dye, and of course, a pair in gold glitter. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard that founder Blake Mycoskie is launching a luxury Toms line at Bergdorf’s and Neiman’s this week. We’re talking metallic linens and silk tie-dyes – sounds like a dream.

Kings of Leon has partnered with Surface to Air to create a line of flannel heavy clothing (which is so ironic, really, because rockers rarely wear flannel). What say you, Brooklyn hipsters?

Gemma WardWant to look younger? Try Dracula Therapy. Yes, it involves blood, and yes, I wish I were joking.

Supermodel Gemma Ward shares her birthday with Anna Wintour (November 3rd) and was spotted out and about looking almost unrecognizable. Gemma, who “quit modeling”, is no longer waif thin and could easily give plus size model Crystal Renn a run for her money….

Check out these Nike Junk Dunks! Artist Gabriel Dishaw makes them of metal and electronic scraps. Kickass, no? This is recycling I can totally get behind.

Rock and roll royalty Georgia Jagger is definitely on the upswing. She’s just been selected as the new face of Versace. First it was the Hudson Jeans ad campaign, then the Vogue UK cover, now Versace. Girl is climbing the ladder awfully fast!

Matthew Williamson is launching menswear. Rejoice! A date hasn’t been set yet, but let it be known that I’ll be dragging Bacon Bits shopping as soon as the line launches.
