Nobody wants to see that filthy fag mess on television. What's next with you people? Pedophilia? Animal sex? There seems to be no bottom to your moral depravity.
Comment by Mary 03.08.10 @ 2:55 pmMary — clearly you and the fine people of beanstockd.com have a different opinion of what constitutes "moral depravity." I'd define it as the state of being of self righteous bigots who see no conflict between preaching God's love and using vile and degrading epithets to dehumanize people who differ from them in sexual orientation, religious belief, and political viewpoint. Equating same sex relations between two consenting adults with pedophilia and bestiality is not only offensive in the extreme, but an entirely fallacious argument. Homophobia is a weapon of small, sad people who fervently cling to outmoded and prejudicial beliefs as a way to make themselves feel that they have the moral and ethical high ground. You don't. Get over it. I'd rather see that "filthy fag mess" on television 24/7 than endure a minute in the company of an arrogant, small minded bigot such as yourself.
Comment by Kate 03.10.10 @ 4:18 pmWhile seeing Kathy Griffin trying to be serious for longer than 30 seconds has the tendency to make me cringe, seeing two women kissing does not. It's astonishing to me that our society has not come to realize the difference between what is right and what has been socially constructed as the norm by fear mongering bigots (i.e. Mary) or previous groups who have pushed similar ideas. What is also quite astonishing is the platform for which these individuals aim to represent and speak in favor of (i.e. religion). "Thou shalt not judge" is a quote that I wish every radical Christians had tattooed on their forearms to remind them of their doctrine every time they raise a hand against another (figuratively speaking). NBC is terrified that Mary and like-minded people will complain, rally, and host a demonstration in retaliation of two adult women kissing. But regardless of this idiocy, what is MOST disappointing is that the intended kiss to be aired was not based on two people in love or remotely interested in each other. Of course Kathy Griffin was interested, but they made the other actress act somewhat disgusted by the event. This directing move was poorly contrived in my opinion. If NBC wants to convey gays in our society, then they should project an image of two adults acting in a consensual manner towards the event. Oh, and they should also air it! Nice try NBC on your attempts to be gay-friendly, however, filming a homosexual kiss (although, poorly expressed) and choosing not to air it just makes you look like a bunch of scared fools.
Oh, and Mary- Shake your head really fast and try to wake up! Gays are “coming out” in droves and are no longer falling victim to the guilt you and your friends are trying to instill in them.
But wait, you think Armageddon is around the corner?? If that is the case, then this news should not be of any significance to you.
