Canoodle Alert: Naomi Campbell & Hugo Chavez

We see the green in you, Naomi.

Naomi Campbell is in South America interviewing heads-of-state for British GQ and spreading goodwill with hardball questions like: Do you know Prince Charles? So far, the trip is a success; so much so that one gossip rag says she and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez have been gettin’ freaky…for two months. They quote her saying Chavez is “not a gorilla, he is more a bull.”

Naomi would. She has what our shrink calls “excessive chutzpah,” which can lead to a mental condition called “schtick coma.” When it grips her, she will say and do anything to gain an upper hand or avoid losing face. Things like: flaunting fur to spite PETA and turning community service into a couture show.

This, however, is about image rehab. After mopping floors publicly, she wants to save the world one leader and one tree at a time. She’s green! For her. If you recall, Naomi hosted Live Earth in South Africa and even made this PSA lauding the carbon sucking power of trees. It’s nice, but if she’s going to be gardening, we prefer her irritated.
