David Tennant and Freema Agyeman

Leave it to iTunes to bring arguably the most sexy redcoat to the U.S.—David Tennant of Doctor Who fame—without the wrapping, packaging, and dvd cases that ultimately end up in landfills. Instead, all you need to do is hit the download button to see the time-traveling Brit and his spunky companion Martha (Freema Agyeman). While not a household name in America yet, Tennant’s accent, charisma, and googly eyes position him to become the next romantic leading Brit in the tradition of Colin Firth and Hugh Grant.

The first episode of the third season, “Smith and Jones,” is a great introduction to the series and a fun place to start. I mean, who doesn’t want to see an old granny vampire suck people’s life force out with a straw and then giggle? Absurd? Of course! But when your hero runs around without his shoes on, warthogs are intergalactic police, and the only way to save the day is just to unplug the bomb, who needs things to make sense? So, get your ipod ready with a solar-powered recharger, and enjoy not having to wait in line for The Dark Knight… again.

OH YES!!!!!!! My man on iTunes! It’s long overdue! I own all the DVD boxed sets and can tell you they were worth every penny, so anyone who doesn’t have them already should DEFINITELY download from iTunes and have a peek.

Thanks for running this article. America is sadly behind in Doctor Who fandom, but hopefully we will catch up very very soon!

As a Brit and a DT and DW fan, I couldn’t agree more about David being the sexiest British import in a long time to hit America! His acting, whether in his Doctor Who accent or his natural Scottish accent, is just mesmerising. Although I do have to point out.. they’re rhinos, not warthogs. Never seen a space rhino before, have you?
