Great post and great op-ed. I guess invoking the name of Ronald Reagan isn’t good enough anymore for the GOP. Must have something to do with all those posthumous revelations that he wasn’t a very nice person and that even his kids hated him. And let’s not forget his BRILLIANT ideas like trickle-down economics and star wars.

If McCain fancies himself a modern day Teddy Roosevelt he can start by getting back on the straight talk express he abandoned so long ago. After all, one could say Teddy Roosevelt invented the straight talk express and his face ended up on the side of a mountain. The only place McCain’s face is gonna end up is on the side of my mound of mashed potatoes.

if you carve mccain’s face into your mashed potatoes, i’ll make sure and mash them up once again. that’s what friends are for, right?

I would carve John McCain’s face into my mashed potatoes, and then pour hot gravy all of over it, just to watch his face melt away. Oh wait, I think the melanoma has already done that.
