When we last saw Vincent Chase and company, they were defeated by the Cannes Film Festival and their labor of love, "Medellin", was left in an ominous state of limbo.
The show picks up with "Medellin" as a Richard Roeper-certified, straight-to-dvd loser, which at least makes it a tad lighter in its carbon loafers. The Miller/Gold Agency has seen better days, and Eric has a new client—an unknown played by Bow Wow.
Meanwhile, Vince and Turtle have escaped the rolling blackouts of California and are sowing their bruised Hollywood oats in tropical Mexico. Their enhanced libidos suggest they successfully avoided the polluted water that plagued Charlotte York when she "Poughkeepsie’d her pants." Finally, Johnny Drama it seems, is the only one enjoying career satisfaction…until a photog asks to take pictures of his "bad side."
After a personal visit from Ari and Drama, and a pep talk from E, a reluctant Vince decides to return to L.A. for a meeting with a powerful movie producer. Rival agent Adam Davies witnesses the meeting and informs Ari of the producer’s nefarious plans to use Vinny as an innocent pawn to leverage Emile Hirsch. For Vince, the bad news only hardens his resolve to act again. For Drama, the set back represents an opportunity to smash the producer’s gas guzzling Mercedes SL500 roadster with a golf club.
