It’s the time of year when holiday specials flood network tv and we get to see some claymation reindeer. Sadly, not all holiday specials are created equally. Here are the top 3 of this season:
3. Shrek the Halls – it’s got the voice talents of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, & Eddie Murphy plus baby ogres whose green skin coordinates with the season.
2. A Charlie Brown Christmas – There’s nothing like a little boy who gets depressed by Christmas, receives therapeutic help for a nickel, and ultimately buys the saddest, scrawniest tree ever to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
1. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer – The classic claymation tale of a reindeer with a glowing schnoz and an elf named Hermey who aspires to dentistry never fails to remind us that Rudolph would never have come into Santa’s good graces if headlights had already been invented.
If you’re not in the mood for holiday specials, iTunes is offering to let you catch up on your favorite tv series for $0.99 per episode. Watching your fave shows on your iPod/portable media player could actually make traveling during the holidays enjoyable whether you’re on a sleigh, a bus or crowded train.
