Artificial trees may be the answer to stopping global warming. Geoengineers have developed a device that removes carbon dioxide from the air, much in the same manner as trees. However, the most fail-safe way to prevent global warming is through reducing emissions before they get in the air.

President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday. Critics worry that the accolade was premature, but the President said he was surprised by the decision, and viewed it more as "call to action" than a reflection of his accomplishments. The chair of the Nobel committee said the vote in Obama’s favor was unanimous.
