On Wednesday night's Mercy, besides a cameo by The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the episode also revolved around an initiative within the hospital for everyone to participate in a Bike-to-Work Day. What might have seemed like a clever storyline was actually part of Green is Universal week — a week long commitment by NBC Universal to bring an environmental perspective to their networks including NBC. The League of American Bicyclists is already promoting Bike-to-Work Week 2010 that will be May 17-21 and Bike-to-Work Day on Friday, May 21. All week long, communities and businesses around the country plan events promoting bicycling. You can help plan a Bike-to-Week event in your community by checking out The League's step-by-step guide to getting started. You can also check out Mercy star, Michelle Trachtenberg's new jewelry collection for Coach’s Poppy line, which includes faux pearls, intricate hardware and crystals, this coming spring.
